Be Aware! Melanoma Days

Throughout the world May has been proclaimed Melanoma month. Melanoma Days is an annual informative campaign designed to promote society’s understanding of skin cancer’s most aggressive form – melanoma – and to educate the general public about the necessity of early detection as well as to highlight cancer prevention methods and treatments. As part of the campaign, people are encouraged to look at their moles and birthmarks and to have them inspected by a physician, dermatologist or oncologist.

Every year melanomas are detected and diagnosed as a result of this informative campaign.
